Atarian7
? If not what is the best controller for these games?
+Mitch
Trackballs work great with Decathalon if you have an Atari trackball in trackball mode. You can get some great high scores. Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
Mountain King
Really, I never had much luck plating those games with a track ball. But there is a way to cheat at Decathalon with the Track and field controller. Just hold down one of the buttons and tap the other one. You will run very fast. +Random Terrain
There's no "best" controller for these kinds of games. "Joystick jerker" games are only good for one thing, putting money in the pockets of doctors because of repetitive stress injuries.
Ian Primus
Not to mention the constant joystick replacement... (I still think that Nintendo made Mario Party for that purpose...) Ian Primus ian.primus@usa.net
+Random Terrain
That too! I forgot about that one. "Joystick jerker" games = doctor bills and broken joysticks. Thanks, Sark.
Atarian7
I tried your "cheat" and it isn't cheating. I can run faster with a joystick than I can holding down one button and punching the other on a track and field controller.
Mountain King
Well my trick is easier on my wrist. Never was any good at joystick jerking.
Atarian7
lol I got some pretty good performances tonight on track and field. 10m73 on long jump, 96m?on javelin, 10.87 on 110m hurdles, 9.21 on 100m dash Still can't get past 2m42 on the high jump. I try to jump at 90-89 degrees right at the bar and I hit it. I try to do about 85 a little bit out and still hit it. Try to do 83 a tiny bit farther and still hit it. Any advice for clearing 2m43 on the high jump?
