Bob Bytchin
Not sure how great these are, but here's a page with some schematics of the 2600: http://atarihq.com/danb/a2600.html#schematics

kingspud
Does anyone out there know how to get a complete copy of the 2600 or 7800 circuit schematic diagram? I would like to know all the electrical components on each board, a full parts list if possible. I want to create a handheld version on my own, like others are doing right now, just for the experience of doing it. I'm tying to see if; 1. Its possible that I can do it. 2. Gain the experience of circuit design. 3. learn more about the creation of the Atari units. 4. Just have fun doing it! Thanks everyone! bangles66
Check your local libary for Howard W. Sams Photo facts these are schematics of all types of electronic equipment. most major libaries should have them. Boston's does. also check out your local electronics store they should have a sams cataloge and you can order the schematics from there. Not sure if the new sams cataloges still has them but that's where I got mine back in the early 90's. I have the 2600"a"-the two front switch schematics and the 5200 ones good luck
