Atari 65XE defect

Hi all,

 

I've just got back into using and collecting Atari 8 bit stuff these last few months (have money now to buy all the stuff i wanted as a kid )

 

Dusting down my old 65XE I remembered that it actually had two Delete BK Sp keys and no Break key, though the extra BK SP key did function correctly as a break key.

 

Just out of interest (yes i'm bored) has anybody else come across any defective Atari 8 bit machines? Would it add anything to its value, say push it above the 10 pound barrier

Was the computer "refurbished"? It's possible that keycap was just used to replace a missing one (the keys can be popped off...handy if you need to clean your keyboard). Or did it come like that new?

It was bought new in the late 80's from Dixons in the UK, I never took it back as it was just cosmetic.
