Esc
Does anyone know what type of printer actually is the Atari 1029? I'm looking to find a replacement ribbon cartridge.

Tempest
They don't a 1029 specific one, but you can use some kind of replacement. Check the Atari 8-bit FAQ. Tempest
Tickled_Pink
I've got an unused spare somewhere. I don't use my 1029 much (my hearing is already bad enough ) If you're interested in it I'll see if I can dig it out.
bjk7382
I know my 1025 just uses a regular typewriter ribbon, don't know if the 1029 is any different.
Esc
Thanks! I was going to put a 600XL 64k package up for auction on eBay, I might just add the 1029 printer in the lot. I really don't have the room for it now anyway. I'll just list the printer as untested, it probably still does work...just needs a ribbon. atarianer2003
The 1029 uses a standard pinwriter (nylon) ribbon. The printer is technically the same as Commodore MPS-801 and Seikosha SP-80 Mike
