Mendon
Was going thru the Philly 5 pictures (excellent job, by the way) and noticed that the AA booth had some 8bit carts for sale: AA Booth Is the AA store going to be selling 8bit games in the near future? When I first saw the picture, I was going to jump on an Email to you about the Satan's Hollow cart but then remembered I have the game on one of Sunmarks Multi-Carts. Still, I'd be interested in purchasing 8bit games from AA if they are going to be for sale in the AA store. Thanks in advance! oesii
While, I'm not Atari Age, I bet they just might start selling some of those in their store. Maybe to coincide with the debut of the 8bit rarity list Of course, one of the finest games for the Atari computers seems to be on sale now, grab it if you haven't yet: http://www.atariage.com/store/product_info...products_id=
Albert
Is the AA store going to be selling 8bit games in the near future? Yes, I just need to take some screenshots for all those games and then write up descriptions (I've already taken all the pictures). As oesii already pointed out, I added the 8-bit version of Castle Crisis to the store yesterday. Take care! ..Al
andy_bernstein
Albert, Any chance for Koffi (or some other 5200 homebrew) to be offered as an XL/XE cartridge through the Atari Age store ? Thanks, AB.
Bryan
I can help 5200 programmers convert their games to use my bank-switching cartridge if they wish. -Bry
ballyalley
That's cool to see that some of these games will be available in cart form for the A8-- but why are you using the standard, boring A8 labels that Atari used? Even they moved away from those with the XE. They'd be so much nicer with pics on the label. Adam
Bratwurst
I grew up with those text style labels and seeing that on a repro gave me a kick of nostalgia. I say keep 'em.
Albert
Any chance for Koffi (or some other 5200 homebrew) to be offered as an XL/XE cartridge through the Atari Age store ? I know that at some point this was being worked on (or at least being investigated), and I think it would be a great addition to the 8-bit library, but I'm not sure what the current status is. I'll inquire about it. ..Al

Even they moved away from those with the XE. They'd be so much nicer with pics on the label. Mostly because we are using the standard, brown A8 carts, as those are relatively easy to come by. It wouldn't feel quite right, in my opinion, to put another style of label on these carts. I also like the nostalgic feel of these labels. And finally, due to their general uniformity, we were able to put together seven different labels in a relatively short time (that is, in enough time for PC5!) It would have taken much longer to do a unique, picture-based label for each of these (especially as picky as we are about doing high-quality labels). ..Al
SS
I also like the nostalgic feel of these labels. The old style lables is what immediately attracted me to 'em.
