+davidcalgary29
An eBay seller, who identified himself to me as "a former Atari store owner", advised that it's best to clean old cartridges by filing them with an emory board. This sounds a little too extreme for me; I prefer the rubbing alcohol & cloth method. Can anyone advise if they've ever filed down their carts to perfection before? Bryan
I might use an abrasive pink pencil eraser, or very fine 800+ grit sandpaper, but rougher stuff will probably remove too much metal and make the problem worse in the long run. -Bry
bjk7382
I have 600 grit sandpaper I use on stubborn cartriges. Alcohol works 99% of the time.
kheffington
I have used fine sandpaper on cart contacts that I could not get to work any other way.
