gemini-world Posted April 22, 2004 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Hello to all who are willing to help me. I have an atari with no sound and so I changed the TIA chip. Now when I turn the atari on it won't display a picture. The picture is fuzzy and has mixed colors. It looks to be jumping sort of. I also have one with no picture. If someone knows what the number of the chip is to get the picture back or have any advise I would appreciate that a bunch. The screen just turns black when I turn the unit on. Azrael Posted April 22, 2004 Share Posted April 22, 2004 As far as a black screen goes, have you tried cleaning the contacts inside the cart slot? I had a woody that would only go black but thanks to the forum advice I got it works fine now. All I did was put paper round a metal ruler and rub it in the contacts.
