Good Lord, if you take a way Pokemon and Mario, Nintendo barely ranks on those game sales.  I'm not a fanboy of any of the companies but it kind of makes me sad for the big N.

I wouldn't feel too bad for them. They still make a ton of dough and their games are still more fun than the other guys.

i am still in shock at the gameboy advance - with those kinda numbers for it - i really hope it aids in part of the death of the PSP - yeah i hate sony and im level with nintendo

I could do without a monopoly in the handheld market to the extent that the GBA has, which is why I've been pushing for the N-Gage (and other non-Sony competition like the Tapwave to some extent).

you feel bad for Nintendo?  look at poor sega

Very true, right after I posted I had even thought about going back and editing in that I'd hate to see them go the same way as Sega, but I was too lazy.

Well what has Sega put out so far this year that is worthy of a top 10 spot? Sonic Heroes has sold very well for an average game. Sega needs to get back to putting out some RPG's and some stylish action games like they did in the Saturn and Dreamcast days. An average Sonic title and Samurai Jack just doesn't cut it. I felt sorry for Sega this time last year when they had great games such as Panzer Dragoon Orta and Gungrave that should have been in the top five, but not this year.

Oh that! ;)

I'm sorry...sometimes I do get a bit excited about the XBOX!   :D

lol. Ah, s'ok. I'm still pondering getting one myself. Just trying to find a cheap second hand machine (as I'm gonna rip it to bits and mod it straight away). :D

Im with Adrian on this one. Some of us got tired of Mario a while back. Though I hate seeing Nintendo go the way of sega. Where would they be without their 8 bit GBA remakes and pokemon? :?

Maybe if consumers would stop buying Mario games, then Nintendo would be forced to come up with something new. Apparently there's still plenty of people that prefer Mario and will buy any Mario game released. It makes sense to me that you keep running with something that continues to make you lots of $.

Somebody get him a towel. :ponder:

Adrian is a "him"....or a "her".....things that make you go hmmmmmmmm?

Adrian please clarify :)

I am most definitely a male.

There is another member on these very boards who simply goes by the name of "Adrian" and I believe that one is a female, though I've heard differing opinions on that. :ponder:
