memorymoog
I guess im asking what game with rarity from extremely rare up to prototype, is the most fun to play?
ubersaurus
Elevator Action, or Combat
King Asmo
Bumper Bash or Gas Hog.
Tempest
Gas Hog? Yuck! I always thought of it as a poor man's Moon Patrol. I'd have to say Saboteur is a blast to play, but my favorite UR game is Quadrun. Tempest
h.e.r.o
Texas Chainsaw Massacre was always a fun game for me back when I had it.

MattyXB
Donald Duck's Speadboat, Elevator Action, Crazy Valet (maybe not so Rare, but here in germany this is very Rare) Matthias
Joel D. Park
Crazy climber is pretty Amazing. Also Halloween keeps me coming back for more. Also, I thought Star Wars: The Arcade Game was pretty good.
Ze_ro
I'd have to choose: Crazy Climber, Survival Island (Starpath), or Z-Tack (Bomb)... is there a rip-off of Z-Tack that isn't rare? --Zero
Blackjax
As far as Prototypes go, my current favorite is Telepathy Man I wish I had won that auction when it was on eBay. Ah well - a hozer copy is better for heavy-duty play anyway

ratfink
Secret Quest. Does that count as rare? It's not talked about much.
PeeknPoke
Dumbo was a good one too (Nice clean graphics) Combat II was fun
+johnnywc
I'd have to say Combat Two. My brother and I played it for about 2 hours at CGE2K1. Once we stopped playing like the original Combat (you know, going head to head and trying to blast each other to bits) and started playing it like the strategy game it's supposed to be, we both found it very challenging and entertaining (as the many witnesses could attest to...). Jess Ragan
Ram It's an interesting pre-Tetris puzzle game, although the title suggests that it's something else entirely...
Jess Ragan
Well, it's a shooter with puzzle elements, actually. Better point that out before someone else does! So hey, is this the John Champeau who used to make PC versions of classic video games? Looks like emulators like MAME put us both out of business, huh? Elvis8Atari
custard's revenge, Philly Flasher and coke wins are a few rare games that are pretty fun
+johnnywc
To all: sorry about the personal post - just wanted to response to Jess Ragan in the above post... Jess - Yes - I am the same John Champeau who had a line of classic arcade games back in the mid-90's (CHAMP Kong, Ms. Pac-em, etc). With MAME, Namco's Museum, etc. and the rise in interest for the classics back then it seemed pointless (and a bit risky) to continue. It was fun while it lasted though... were you involved in making classic reproductions???
Jess Ragan
Yeah, I made a couple of Pac-Man clones, Super Pac-Mon (and the upgrade, Remix, which has more rounds and controls better) and Pac-Mon, a straight port of the original game. Don't know if you remember them. So hey, what's happened to the software you'd already made? Has it gone public domain? That's the route my games are gonna take. +johnnywc
Jesse, Unfortunately, I never got to play any of your games. I have given permission to put my games into public domain to a person who is running a web page that has information on all the games my company produced. You can find them at http://www.champ-em.com.
