dykesr
Okay about 2 weeks ago i picked up a box of about 2 dozen 2600 and to my surprise one of the games ended up being Asault by BOMB. Needles to say i was extremely excited as this one was in the best condition i have ever seen before. So I pluged it in to the console to test it and nothing but a blank screen i have tired it several times and only once did i get it to work. Any idea on what to do? Or what is going on?/ RD
SimonTemplar
Did you clean the cart`s contacts with alchool ?
Mindfield
Aside from cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip, you can also see if you can get a little, soft pencil eraser in there and rub the contacts clean. Alternatively, if you have a Dremel or RTX and a buffing wheel, you can squeeze that in there and go over the contacts with that to get 'em nice and shiny. If it still doesn't work, try it on another console (if you have one) -- I've had a title or two that refused to work on my four switcher that booted up fine in my SVAII, by way of example. If it still doesn't boot up, then there's a distinct possibility that the Bomb is a dud*. * Terribly sorry. Bad pun.
sku_u
Bomb titles are notorious for not working.
MattG/Snyper2099
Actually, I think that BOMB titles use eproms so the time has possibly come for most of them to start crapping out.

RD Using a dremel tool will destroy the contacts. Never use a dremel tool to clean something sensitive like a PCB
