Nostalgic
Today's Detroit Free Press has an article "Pistons at Play" here. It describes what some of the Detroit Pistons (the pro basketball team local to the area) do in their off-time. One of the Pistons that is profiled - Elden Campbell - is a big video gamer and enjoys several older consoles, including the 2600!
homerwannabee
Being a Laker fan, I don't feel so bad now that Detroit won the championship. I guess Elden had Atari 2600 Karma going for him in the Finals
Big Player
That's cool. Another NBA player who is into classic video games is Todd MacCulloch of the Philadelphia 76ers. He was at Phillyclassic 5. It was rather amusing watching a seven-foot-tall guy crouch to play the arcade games.
Tempest
Yeah I read that (notice how they misspelled Vectrex?). I thought that was really cool. Tempest
ATARIPITBULL
Drew & Mike on WRIF radio in Detroit called him a Tecno nerd.
Chris++
More importantly, "Piston is a classic gamer" sounds like the title of a Ramones song.
