DieselJ
Hello. I'm new here, so hello everybody. Now i've got a question... on my lynx II, there ain't a Serial number.. there's nothing where i think the serial number should be, and today, i checked some other pics of other Lynx II's and saw the same thing on other machines.. whats up with that? I bought the machine a while back in the box.. was it refurbished or something?
chris_lynx1989
like all lynxes these had a white paper sticker (lynx 1s and some early 2s had these),then the later lynx 2s had some shiny white and/or grey ones. these always tend to wear off with me and my sweaty fingers and palms (the paper labels). have not had this problem with the glossy stickered ones. it sounds like you may have gotten a used one or something. i've not come across one without a sticker that was a new one or a refurbished unit. the only other way of knowing the possible number that your unit is to look at either end of your lynx box for a white sticker that is similar to the one that might have been on your lynx.--the lynxer
DieselJ
Thank's for the reply. This means o bought a used unit then. It's in perfect shape tho so it's not a loss really.... I doubt tho that the box are the original box for this unit. I mean, if the unit was used, it's prolly not the original box either!
chris_lynx1989
that is a possibility--it could be a used one that got tossed in a random box -- i would think that the box probably goes to the unit though. a used unit does not always have a box come with it! boxes for some gamers are just some clutter laying around for them find a place for--a box for a unit is at times (many times) or a game a rare item to receive with stuff. some are not the true collectors that you or i may be--i've found this out over the years buying up game collections! boxes are a rarity many, many times. you're welcome for the response. if you have any other questions just ask away or send me private message.--the lynxer
wapchimp
I have 2 lynx 2's. I bought one brand new (still sealed) and it had a blank serial sticker. The other 2nd hand also didn't have one, but maybe it was worn off.
