FireTiger
Ok, I want your opinions and some facts, What is the list of games that use right vs left controller? Wizard of War The list of ones that use the right controller if both controllers are plugged in. Seems like some US games do this but I might just be crazy The games that use the switches for something other then difficultly or pause/ black-white. Space Shuttle The games with infinate lives with the switches. Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes Games with more then one name. (excluding Sears) Stargate-Defender II Lochjaw-Shark Attack And the strangest games for the 2600. ...
AtariLeaf
Another game that uses the switches is Starmaster (I think) and Mnetworks Space Attack. There's probably others. Strangest game for the 2600? God, where does one start
keilbaca
I vote X-Man for strangest... but yes, Starmaster also uses the black/white switch to switch from map to playfield.
BassGuitari
Off the top of my head, the games that use the right joystick for single-player games are: Air-Sea Battle Star Ship Surround Basketball Home Run Slot Machine
BassGuitari
I'd also have to vote the Atari's "X-rated" games as the strangest. I think the game with strangest title, though, is Tapeworm.
Fellow Atari Man
The list of ones that use the right controller if both controllers are plugged in. Seems like some US games do this but I might just be crazy I think Towering Inferno used the right joystick, but I can't say for sure (been forever since I've played it). The games that use the switches for something other then difficultly or pause/ black-white. Space Shuttle Phaser Patrol uses the color/b/w switch for shields, I think. And the strangest games for the 2600. ... I thought Raiders of the Lost Ark was kind of weird. And what the heck did repeatedly falling into a swamp (and using gold bricks to get out) have to do with the Porky's movie?!

FireTiger
Surrond... hat explaines why I get nowhere on that game, just like I didn't know/remember defender (or was it defender II) needed both joysticks.

gospeedde
Ghostbusters uses the difficulty switches for a few different things, which is why I don't really play it.
Spirantho
The games that use the switches for something other then difficultly or pause/ black-white.Space Shuttle I think Riddle of the Sphinx falls into that category....
Adrian M
The reason that Wizard of Wor requires the usage of the right controller for player 1 was simply due to the fact that they wanted to mimic the arcade setup as closely as possible. Play the arcade version of WOW and sure enough, player 1 uses the right joystick. When you think about it, this tpe of setup is rather odd. 128bytes
To me, the strangest game -- in a good way -- when it came out was Adventure. I won't go into the detail here, but it sure was different than anything else that came before. For the same good reason, Synthcart is the strangest new homebrew IMHO.
