the 5th ghost
YES! I must say, I'm very happy for you. Finds like that are truly amazing experiences, congratulations! I'm glad they ended up going to someone that appreciates what they were so lucky to find. There's nothing like finding boxed Atari items in the wild, especially when they are the original gatefold boxed games. The joysticks with the hex discs intact, that is truly incredible, I wish I could be that lucky. The price you paid too is amazing, good thing you had the money on you! +Random Terrain
Be sure to take some pictures. I wonder how many other things are sitting in basements, attics, closets, and garages waiting to be owned by people who will cherish them? Mindfield
Congrats dude -- those sticks are hard enough to find with the hex discs attached on eBay. Never mind that a wild find with them attached is probably without recorded precedent. What you paid is probably what just one of those sticks alone would fetch. Awesome find! Plink-Plonk-Ploink
Sorry to ask this probably silly question but what's a hex disc? BTW congrats
atari_wizard
Sorry to ask this probably silly question but what's a hex disc?BTW congrats on the top of the stick there was a small circle/disc that said atari.
Rob Mitchell
Sorry to ask this probably silly question but what's a hex disc? Look at my avidar. It is an aluminum disc that is glued to the top of the 1977 joysticks. Either ATARI OR SEARS. They almost always fell off which makes them rare.
