Moscow, The Kremlin today announced the intentions of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to take part in this years international Atarilympics. The Soviet Union is known world wide for its variety of skills in all forms of competition from Chess to Weightlifting. The USSR has proven itself time and time again to be a leader in the International Sport and Competition environment. Soviet premier Konstantin Ustinovich Chernenko praised this years select team of Soviet VideoAthletes, "We are absolutely unbeatable. We have chosen only the best videoathletes to show the west just what we are made of!" The Soviet Union, which has always strived to show itself as leader in videoathleticism with its expansive program dedicated in searching for the most talented athletes. This years team Captains are Trenton Ray and Jess LaFleur both highly decorated Heroes of the Soviet Union who have won the All Eastern Videolympics for the past three years are known widely throughout the community. Mr. Ray shared with the Moscow Pravda this comment "We are very excited to be able to show the west just what we are made of!" to which Mr. LaFleur added "Soviet victory is not only paramount, but expected by all." The team have been in heavy training and continue to scout for late additions to the all-welcome team. I own a copy of Track and Field( I own the others too ), so I could focus on the events from that game, since it is a rarer game than the others. Dan Iacovelli Posted August 3, 2004 Share Posted August 3, 2004 ok I'm in for this and I had a tough time deciding on what team to be on (I was going to do team AVC under the red fuji,but then I figured nah that wouldn't be good, so I was ging try to join team USA,but I don't think I'm up to it) So to make a long story short: I'm going with my national heritage: Team Italy (I'm Italian btw) any other Italians care to join me. Ze_ro Posted August 4, 2004 Author Share Posted August 4, 2004 By the way, I should probably warn you guys that around the 10th or so, I'll probably have to freeze creation of new teams in an effort to make sure all the current teams have the proper number of players. When this happens, any team that still only has one player may be forced to disband and join other teams.
