tjlazah
Whats a good program that will show how much memory a Atari has? I want to know how much memory a Atari 800 has, and if it can test the mem that would also be great.
geosteve
from BASIC you simply type PRINT FRE(0) -that's a number 'zero' not letter O
miker
You better use the XRAM prog. It runs directly from DOS and allows you to check the real the amount of memory (including all known urpgrades). You can download this prog form there: http://www.atari.sk/satantronic/files/XRAM021.COM
tjlazah
Thanks, but link does not work. Where can I find XRAM?
miker
Thanks, but link does not work. Where can I find XRAM? Try http://www.atari.sk/satantronic/ and go to Atari XL/XE section. Hmm... on my computer this prog is saved as .MP3 file - if your comp saves it in the same way then try to change this prog's extension back to .COM (in my opinion it's still the A8 binary, but don't know why it appears as .MP3 file - Curious, isn't it? )
