SS
I got this unexpectedly in the mail yesterday. It's a dupe (long, fairly uninteresting story). The cart is coxed and the end label is off having been badly reattached at some point in it's life by what appears to be Elmers Glue. I'm inclined to simply toss it in the trash but it's just so hard to make myself do with ANY Atari game, no matter how bad. What would y'all do? Toss it or put it in the trade pile knowing that nobody else will ever likely want it either?
alienblue
WAIT! Is the game inside (does it work?) STARSHIP? I seem to remember a veryyyyy similar early Sears label of STARSHIP with that label. Maybe it was peeling off and someone "reattached it"? Just a thought...mebee its bogus..
Saikyo
Maybe it's a proto with a lable from another atari game?
SS
No, no. It's just a boring old Space Combat in pretty rotten condition.
joeybastard
Go to a craft store and buy one of those kits that are for making a clock. Drill a hole in the center and make it into a kitschy Atari/Sear clock for your gameroom or Put it off to the side to trade in to Al the next time you order stuff from the AA store. mynameistom22000
I'd keep it...but I'm a packrat and love to have extra carts around for some reason. But the better more common sense answer that I'll give is just put it in the trade pile, or credit at the AA store doesn't sound bad as someone mentioned
sku_u
Offer it up in the marketplace for the cost of shipping and if you don't have any takers, use it for target practice.
egdinger
I'll take it, but only if its work and its fun to play.
SS
I'll take it, but only if its work and its fun to play. It does work. Can't say that it's all that fun to play though.
oesii
I just put my rejects in a separate pile in after two years of bad and missing labels I just offered them up here. I got about $1 per game, helps if you amass some uncommons that you need to ditch. http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45588
Rob Mitchell
What would y'all do? Toss it or put it in the trade pile knowing that nobody else will ever likely want it either? What???? May Bira Bira curse you in your future collection quests because of your blasphemy! Give it to me! I'll give it to my teenage nephew so he can better his skills before I whip his ass again at Space War (Space Combat). He is a master of modern button games .. but like most youth, he cannot play simple Atari stick games! Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
highinfidelity
I'll take it, but only if its work and its fun to play.It does work. Can't say that it's all that fun to play though. Respect, men!!! We're talking about the port of Space Wars, the first videogame ever! |
Adrian M
If it bothers you that much, dispose of it. Otherwise, offer it up to some newbie.
