Stingray
Just wondering if you guys have found a product that will sucessfully polish off a few minor scratches from a Lynx screen Thanks -S
Han
I have been thinking about that myself. I have seen in a local store that they are selling display polish for mobile phones. That should work on a Lynx to I suppose. But I haven't tried it yet..
+-^CrossBow^-
I would be careful of that polish. Most cell phones actually have a glass or crystal face on them. That Polish probably is semi abrasive. If you use it on a plastic surface like that of a portable gaming system, your likely to just scratch it up even worse. However, I have wondered if the polish used for CD resurfacing might not work? However, if you have ever looked at a resurfaced CD?! You might think twice on that as well... Guess there is no real solution other than to be more careful in the future?
Kialan
CD resurfacing fluid is just distilled water. The resurfacing is done by the circular disc which grinds away at the cd. (This applies to DVD/CD/Disc Doctor products-I dunno about others)

crc_73
I recently got this exact product from eBay (from a different seller) to repair a deep gouge that was in the middle of my Lynx screen. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...6315092988&rd=1 The gouge was deep and wide enough notice with a fingernail when drawn across the screen (I could really feel the gouge). Anyway, the stuff worked great, I can only see whats left of the gouge when looking at an extremely acute angle, an angle I wouldn't ever be playing at. One thing I did notice was that where I had to rub, there was a slight alteration to the plexi, and it has a colouration like a transparent rainbow, you know like the colour when you see a little petrol in a puddle of water. It's not too serious, and definately a lot better than the gouge. It's only really noticable when playing very static games, like Awesome Golf. Classic Pac
There is this product I found I think it should work I can't exactly recall the name but it works with glasses and etc. it not only fills them but dries so clear you can see the repair. A friend let me use some on my Playstation 1 discs and it works! I also used it on my Game Boy and you can't see where the strach was. Stingray
I may try that mobile phone polish. Looks like the best option so far. Classic Pac, I'd be interested in trying some of the stuff you're taling about if you can recall what it's called. -S

It dries clear and you could smooth it out and then polish afterward. Never tried it though,
gulag picture radio
If you go to an auto supply store, they often have polishes for acrylics and plastics. the one that I have is for getting fine scratches out of helmet faceplates. I haven't tried it on a Lynx screen yet, but it worked really well on the plastic tabletop I used it on. Took a LOT of elbow grease, though...
