+Random Terrain
I have some of the Atari 2600 TV Guide game reviews from the early 1980s, but they are a little damaged because I put them in one of those sticky photo albums back then that put those greasy looking diagonal lines through the pages over the years. Does someone already have them displayed on the Internet? If they are not on the Internet, does anyone want to see them? Should I bother scanning them in? Thanks. Philflound
I'm an avid collector of things like that. Please scan them. I'd love to see them. If it's possible, can you tell me the specific issues they were in? My friend has a ton of tv guides and maybe I can get my hands on them. I was putting together as many video game ads I could find from comic books. I would cut them out and put them in a binder. Maybe someday if I have time, I'll scan those for all to see. OK, here's one with no attempt to clean it up: http://www.randomterrain.com/images/scan7t...e1983-12-03.jpg These are in such bad shape that I don't even think I will try to clean them up. Do you think that's good enough to put on my web site? If it's possible, can you tell me the specific issues they were in? My friend has a ton of TV guides and maybe I can get my hands on them. Very cool. Thanks for the image so far.

+Random Terrain
Here's the next one: http://www.randomterrain.com/images/scan7t...e1984-01-14.jpg I'm going to post them as I do them so I don't forget and so people can see them as soon as they are uploaded to my site. Notice that the image for Space Shuttle isn't where it should be.

Jess Ragan
There were some pointed criticisms of the video game industry in those otherwise vapid reviews. The one that sticks out most in my mind was the reminder that the game Crash Dive had nothing to do with video game companies' stock prices. Ouch. +Random Terrain
Thanks for posting those. They are a lot of fun. I have three more to go. I had to stop to eat and now I'm back scanning.
Red 5
These TV Guide articles are a lot of fun to read... Were there any other magazines (other than Electronic Games) that had atari 2600 games in them. I would love to get my hands on some of the old magazines to read through the articles. Checking ebay shows no signs of old Elecrtronic Games magazines. I guess it would be rare for people to keep them.
+Nathan Strum
I have all of my EG magazines, although it's not a complete run. I think I'm missing the first two or three. Scanning all of that stuff would take an eternity, but it's still interesting too look back on some of it.

+Random Terrain
I cleaned one of those up the best I could to see how long it would take: http://www.randomterrain.com/images/scan7t...-04-07clean.jpg Here's the original scan to compare it with: http://www.randomterrain.com/images/scan7t...e1984-04-07.jpg Since I don't have any expensive graphics software or talent, it took many hours to clean that up today. I don't think I have the patience to clean any more of them since it takes me so long to finish one.
HermChase
You mean those lines weren't originally there? I kinda thought the line pattern had a nice look to it. -------- Chase Hermsen
