jr2084
I just got one of these today and tried hooking it up, but I have no clue how to get the cassette to boot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

andy_bernstein
In basic, either CLOAD or CSAVE to load or save a program (no program name necessary). Press on RETURN once you hear the beep. Without Basic, switch on the computer, maintain option and start pressed (function keys) at the same time. Press on RETURN once you hear the beep and your program will start to load. AB. jr2084
I returned it to where i bought it from. It wouldn't even play the tape. Thanks for the help anyways
bjk7382
If you just plug it in and push play it WON'T turn. It needs a signal from the computer to start playing the tape. Try testing it with rewind or fast forward.

jr2084
I know about it needing the signal from the computer but it still didn't play.

jr2084
I got the 410 from a pawn shop complete in the box with some games. I returned it because it didn't work, but got to keep all the games
Crimefighter
If the drive won't start up after doing a CLOAD or using forward/rewind then you can say the drive is not working (be sure it has power). But you cannot use the thing like a regular cassette player unless you enter a certain POKE command. I couldn't tell you what it is so you'd have to do a search on the net for it.
