Songbird
To anyone who might be interested: I have exactly one SFX on a green PCB left in stock. (In fact, it's my last green PCB in stock for any Songbird cart.) All future SFX carts will be on the standard black PCB I now use for all Songbird Lynx carts. As a bonus, this last SFX cart also comes with a color cover on the manual... back in '99 when we did the entire batch of manuals, fewer than 10 were made with the color cover, the rest were all B&W to keep costs down. You'll get one of these as well. I plan on shipping this last green cart in the next order of SFX that I receive... feel free to email me first if you'd like to confirm whether or not you're getting this particular one. I do have about 4-5 total SFX carts on hand, and this is not one I produce very often so grab one while you can.
Songbird
The last green SFX cart is tentatively sold. Thanks!
herr professor
Any plans on doing more development for sfx? I bought one way back when they first came out and used to use it at live shows and a noisemaker/ torture device. It would be really cool if someone would develop if not a tracker, a simple melody player. Maybe file management could be done via comlynx or soemthing... one could always wish i guess
Songbird
I don't have any plans to work on an enhanced SFX, although I do agree some kind of multi-voice sequencer would be cool. If I have time to work on a Lynx game, I think Ultravore is probably highest on my list at the moment.
wapchimp
Or how about a cool tron cycle game http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56794
Songbird
Actually, if you dug up REALLY old posts from me (think 8+ years ago), you'd see that "Star Cycles" was one of my first tentative game concepts I wanted to implement. Basically four players, overhead light cycles, powerups, obstacles, you get the idea. I still think it's a cool concept, it's just finding free time that's hard. herr professor
http://ataritimes.com/lynx/features/abcmusic.html This is closer... maybe if we bug hum he will add the ability to choose our own melody...
davidcalgary29
If we're compiling "wish lists", I'd like to say that I think a sequel to S.I.M.I.S. is definitely in order. I had great fun with Chris Vick's excellent "Lynx Sketch" last year, and think that some space out to be made for it, and some of the other great homebrews out there, on another demo/game cart.
