King Atari
Ah, another one of these posts, I do enjoy reading them, though. This one's about the most complex 2600 games. My votes: "Dark Chambers" and "Xenophobe". Post your choices here.

Inky
I'd say Star Raiders, Ghostbusters, and Raiders of the Lost Ark
Osbo
I'll go with Montezuma, Pitfall II, Venture and River Raid II OsBo
Atari-Jess
Star Raiders, Space shuttle (with no instructions) and Raiders of the Lost Ark damn i couldn't figure out to use the second controller for months! (in fact i didn't even find out my self i had to look for it on the internet!)
Ze_ro
I'd have to say Solaris. Runner's up include Raiders of the Lost Ark (mostly because I can't tell what most of the graphics are supposed to be), Mountain King, and Pitfall 2. Though in the case of Pitfall 2, it's gameplay is still nice and simple... one of the marks of a great video game --Zero
moycon
Lets not forget Riddle of the Sphinx ( Has anyone solved this game?) Secret Quest and Private Eye.
MattyXB
Pitfall II and Raiders of the Lost Ark Matthias
jhd
How about Stargate/Defender II? It uses both joysticks: one to control the ship and fire the main weapon and the other to control smart bombs/hyperspace/shields. It is a very good arcade translation, but I find the control system makes it almost unplayable. Maybe it would be wasier with a second pair of hands
Lemmi
I had most of the Riddle of the Sphinx solved i even had notes a mile long but i lost them all and havent really played it in a long time
Genki
I'll vote for Solaris. So freakin big you need to draw a map to cover them all. Runner up includes Raiers of the Lost Ark, Space Shuttle, and the Sword Quest series. You need the manual just to figure it out.
bcprs1
Solaris is still tops on my list. I honestly don't think anyone has beat this game with cheating on an emulator. I also vote for Secret Quest, Double Dragon, Kung Fu Master and Raiders of the lost ark.
King Atari
I've beaten "Riddle of the Sphinx". It's not very spectacular, the mystic palace (or whatever that's supposed to be) takes the important stuff that you've collected and then it's over. Still a good game despite the dull ending. King Atari
P.S.- I also have to say the "Swordquest" games are still pretty complex, there's no point unless you have the comics!
ubersaurus
hmm..I think atariage should add a subgroup of manuals, the comics packed in with the swordquest games. I mean, yeah you can go see the solution, but figuring it out on your own is more fun!
StanJr
Raiders of the Lost Ark Solaris Space Shuttle Once you have the comics, the Swordquest games get easier to figure out.

Tempest
I think Radar Lock and Shuttle Orbiter, and Space Shuttle were the most Complex 2600 games. Tempest
Joel D. Park
Mountain King was pretty complex.
StanJr
Mountain King isn't as much complex as it is just plain freakin' HARD! I still have yet to reach the top of the stupid Mountain with the crown. And forget about getting to the "easter egg" levels. Sheesh! Elvis8Atari
i would have to say the most complex 2600 game was Cookie Monster Munch. jk
Friend of Sonic
ET. Or was that utter unplayabilty? We may never know.

StanJr
Rock on moycon! There is a secret enclave of people who love and play ET. They are among you, they may even be you. Do not be afraid. I too like ET (somewhat, after 6 hours it wears on a person. Elvis8atari, NEVER, EVER underestimate the power of the Cookie Monster, EVER. I'm serious. EVER. Still high from the Nolan Bushnell thread, Stan
