2600Lives
God, I have SO many PS games. Well, first off, the rarities. Pretty much everything on Duke 4ever's list I have except Team Buddies. I also have Discworld 2. I have both of the Lunar games in mint condition with all the stuff they came with, too. I dunno about the rarity of most PSX games, though. Favorites? All the Resident Evil games Metal Gear Solid Valkyrie Profile Final Fantasy 7 and 9 Twisted Metal 2 Vagrant Story (one of THE best PSX games PERIOD) All 3 Point Blank games. I just love these games. I dunno why really.
Atariboy2600
Now that PS1 is considered classic gaming, what are your favorite or most expensive PS1 games... Okay first off PS1 is not a classic console and to be a classic a game, system, unit, or console had to be 20 years old to get that classic title and when did PS1 came out? First in Japan in December 1994. Later in the US in 1995 the Playstation was released with the Ridge Racer game bundled together so its like what 10, 11 years old? Even if they stop making any new games for it Im sorry but its not a classic yet untill 2014 THEN it can be a classic console! But anyway heres my TOP 5 fav games for the PS1 #1 - Metal Gear Solid #2 - Resident Evil #3 - Ridge Racer #4 - Twisted Metal #5 - Crash Bandicoot

Emehr
My PS1 library isn't all that huge (28 games and counting) but the games I logged the most hours on (and had fun doing it) were... - Final Fantasy VII - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Gran Turismo - Metal Gear Solid - Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Jason

devils advocate
1. The Raiden Project- awesome port 2. Doom- Classic..Final Doom isn't as good. 3. Tekken series....Not a bad one in the bunch. 4. Ridge Racer series.....All four are great, with 1 and 4 really standing out. 5. 1st resident evil.....Showed Alone in the dark how to really do survival/horror 6. 1st and third need for speeds. Am I the only one who likes the first one BETTER than the 3do version? The 2nd is forgettable. 7. N2O-cool soundtrack, cool retro tempest feel. 8. Wipeout series- all three are superb...If you like that type of racer. 9. Sled storm- Too much fun. 10. Risk- The best console port IMHO. Ah hell, you could go on forever. Whomever slags this system is foolish. It's not my favorite, but you can't deny the vast amount of great titles. People who slag it are usually fanboys, Sony haters, or someone who only considers "Working Designs" the only company deemed worthy to create games..Or the donuts who cry "shovelware"..They're the worst...... If I only have two or three pineapples, I'm likely to not have many go bad.....If I have two or three thousand pineapples, I'm likely to have more go south...... I'll take the two or three thousand , and pick through them myself to decide which ones to keep, thanks.

While I kinda agree that I can't consider PS1 classic yet, where'd you get this "definition"? By your rule, the 7800 either turned classic only this year (designed in 1984) or won't be classic until 2006 (released in 1986); and by your rule, I guess Genesis and SNES conversation should be shifted to the Modern Gaming forum. AFAIK, there is no hard and fast rule defining "classic" in video games. It's really a matter of consensus. The main reason I agree with your overall assesment is cos the PSOne is still in production, though even that's not a good rule (Famicoms were in production until just recently.) ObList (no particular order): Top 5 PS1 titles that I've recently popped in: 1) Silent Bombers 2) Darius Gaiden 3) Rollcage LE 4) Vanark 5) Sheep

sega saturn x
I think a good defintion for classic is "is good no matter what year it was made in" So that boadens the scope a bit.

King Atari
I don't have anything really rare, but these are my favorites: -Resident Evil (original or directors cut, pretty much the same thing either way) -Resident Evil 2 -Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (I really like this one, oddly enough) -Duke Nukem: Time To Kill -Tomb Raider (but ONLY the first one) -Destruction Derby (it's amazing how fun this game is) -What the hell, Resident Evil 3, too (despite the weak story) And I haven't played it yet, but I have a feeling I'll really like Mega Man 8. BTW, I don't consider the PS1 classic yet, either. Anything 32-bit era on up I consider modern.
