Atari's Super Service

I've seen the red sticker before -- back when Atari gear was still on the store shelves, we had a power surge that took out our Atari 400 and 5200. After both of them were repaired, we had the red sticker on the bottom. Since it wasn't there before, it must've been introduced around that time. I believe that this would've been around 1983 or so -- definetly no later than 1984.

Oddly enough, the flyer seems familar too -- but I'm not sure if that's just my mind playing tricks on me :(

That sort of reminds me of the "Turbo Man" advertising campaign launched by NEC to promote the TurboGrafx-16, TurboExpress and TurboDuo in 1991. Come to think of it, at the time those were out I remember thinking that TurboMan was a bit of a ripoff of Atari Force. *shruggs*

I just love the sexual innuendo in there.

Problem with his joystick...

No heavy spanking and lots of tender loving care will bring you endless hours of entertainment....

Should this new addition throw a trantrum and refuse to cooperate...

...return the unruly object to us for rehabilitation.
