Boston_Bear
Hi peeps! This site really is great! I have another question, this time pertaining to the game "Blueprint" It's actually years since I've played any Atari games but after spending some time on this board I think I just might try and track down an old console and some games...anyways back to my question - did any of you expert gamers out there ever uncover the secret word in Blueprint and complete the game so that the letters would be rearranged? Best regards, The Bear
Mindfield
As far as I know, no one has ever worked out exactly what the secret word was supposed to be. The best guess so far is that it anagrams either to "ELEPHANT" (but why?) or "THEPLANE" which may have been an allusion a then-forthcoming CBS title (Wings, probably) that was never released. Boston_Bear
I can remember the booklet that came with the game indicating that the word when revela would indicate like an exciting new release from CBs so maybe THEPLANE is right. Pretty ironic that it was never relased and I've spent the past 20 years wondering what it was!!

Boston_Bear
Apologies for the awful spelling and punctuation in that last post - I had to hit submit before my boss came round the corner and saw what was one my screen! NovaXpress
What the Blueprint manual precisely says is that "The Password is your key to exciting new surprizes from CBS Electronics." So THEPLANE makes more sense than ELEPHANT but it's still stupid. Why would you pick "The Plane" of all things to preview Wings? And the use of the term "Password" indicates that it's one word not two. Are there any other possibilities? i was never good at Scrabble. At least the Solar Fox secret word never gave us much trouble.
Mindfield
According to an anagram solver (using "THEPLANE" as the anagram) we get (among the more nonesnsical combinations) the following: 1 Word: elephant 2 words: heel pant (heels? pants? Fashion in Milan?) help neat (Ah-ha! A game about cleaning your room!) hen plate (Mmm ... chicken dinner) leap then (Bungee jumping?) plea then (Hmm... courtroom drama) 3 words: a help net (saving drowning victims! Fun) a lept hen (Chicken bungee jumping!) let he nap (sounds like a snoozer) So there you have it. All possible combinations that may make even the smallest iota of sense. NovaXpress
I think we'd have had something with Chicken Bungee Jumping. I smell a mini-game . . .
NovaXpress
Let He Nap was eventually released as "Sneak N Peek"
