Synthead
I really want to get a hold of a set of paddles! But I don't want to screw up buying a set. I've seen paddles where two controllers go into a the left port, and single versions where one goes into one. If I were to play a two player paddle game, would I haaaave to have the single port duals? Or a single on left and right would suffice? I'm kinda clueles on this one as far as paddles go, so any details help Oh BTW - how about jittering pots in the paddles? If I ever get a jitter-er, is it easy to fix? highinfidelity
Actually, "single paddles" are "driving controllers", that is a totally different thing. You may want to purchase true paddles to play paddle games. Jetter can be fixed with some de-oxyding spray on the variable resistor, nothing bad. Synthead
Great information everyone! Thanks a lot for the help. I didn't know that driving paddles go 360 degrees, that's crazy. Looks like I'll be purchasing the dualies. Thanks again!

Philflound
How do you get the knobs off the paddles. Some I own just come right off, but it seems like they are glued on. Do you take apart the paddle first? I probably have a ton of paddles that jitter, at least 15-20 sets. I just leave them in a box with all the joysticks I own. Haven't had time to sit down and try and put together Atari sets. I think I have like 50 units of various condition. Phil

I used to be into RC cars too, so I know exactly where to get that cleaner! I feel really good about buying paddles that don't say "jitter-free" now ... you guys are the best!
