atarianer2003
And my second problem.... In July I've got an Atari 400 computer. The keyboard didn't working at all keys. I've changed the pokey chip - it was really defective, the case was broken - now the function keys are working (System Reset etc.) but no other key. Also keyboard changing wouldn't be helpful. Is there another part what can be defective or could it be the same defective on both keyboards? Mike
LYNXGUY
Does your 400 have the original keyboard ?? My best friend had a Atari 400 with the original keyboard (or should I say keypad?) and it went bad so he replaced the the old keyboard(pad) with a new standard keyboard and it works fine. atarianer2003
Yes, both are original "keyboards" Mike
deathtrappomegranate
400 keyboards are prone to failure. The best way to test is to get a keyboard that works on another machine and try it in yours.
