Synthead
Looking through the rarity guide, I noticed like a million Twain Cooper carts that were like cheap rip-offs of other carts. Are they pirate carts?
Mindfield
Yup. Japan was chock full of 'em. Probably not nearly as much as Brazil, but they had pirates just like 'em all the same.
Spirantho
Don't think they're Japanese actually - the 2800 never had enough market share. The "Taiwan Cooper" label name covers a multitude of sins - many pirate labels are given the Taiwan Cooper moniker even when they're not, just because they're anonymous and of a similar kind of style - kind of like Zellers carts are nothing to do with Zellers, they just happened to be sold there (although that's a slightly different kettle of fish because the boxes had "Zellers" printed on them IIRC). Basically they're Taiwan pirate carts that appeared throughout Europe mostly, and are normally PAL I think.
