chuckwalla
Hi, Will the SIO2PC board allow me to take the disk images of all the Atari 8-bit roms (the .ATR files that I downloaded onto my PC hard drive to play on the Atari 800 emulator) and run them through my Atari XEGS computer to play on the TV? I'm not too tech savvy so I appreciate your input - thanks!!
Shawn Jefferson
Yep, that's exactly what its for. This one (http://www.atarimax.com/sio2pc/) is also a 10502PC board, which allows you to hook your 1050 disk drive to your PC and make images of your software yourself. miker
But these are NOT roms - just disk images (whole disks copied to .ATR files except any protections, or .PRO -> with protections). And the ROM you have inside your XEGS. It allows the machine to start, run BASIC etc. just explanation - Atari is a computer, not the game console...
