Shawn
Hey All, Has anyone ever made any light gun games for the 2600? I would be intrestred in buying. Shawn Sr.
jetset
No homebrews made, but Sentinel uses the lightgun. I've asked some of the guru's here to put Shooting Arcade on a cart but it's apparently next to impossible to do. Get a 7800, there are several lightgun games. Rob Mitchell
There was a rumor of a homebrew light gun game for the 2600. ... Shooting Arcade works great on the Cuttle Carts. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
SS
Shooting Arcade works great on the Cuttle Carts. It's too hard / imprecise to be much fun though.

Mitch I think he is using a Sega Master System lightgun adapter that I made for him.

I'm a pretty good shot with Shooting Arcade (SMS gun with adapter). Actually Shooting Arcade is one of the many, many reasons that I bought the Cuttle Carts. StanJr
there was talk at last Philly that Cassidy Nolen might take up the task of getting Shooting Arcade in a cart. Wonder if that is still on?

Hmm, I don't remember having that much problem with either the Sega or Best gun. Oh well. Mitch

SS
what is a cuttle cart?? Cuttle Cart 1 Cuttle Cart 2 Both are, unfortunately, no longer in production. And before you ask, additional production runs are extremely unlikely.
Shawn
what is an average going rate for a cuttle cart model 1 (the 2600 version)
Thomas Jentzsch
what is an average going rate for a cuttle cart model 1 (the 2600 version) A few hundred $$$. If you want something cheaper, I suggest looking forward to the KrokoCart (~$100).
Rob Mitchell
If you want something cheaper, I suggest looking forward to the KrokoCart (~$100). What is the status of the KrokoCart? Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA
Thomas Jentzsch
What is the status of the KrokoCart? IMO it looks done. But AFAIK Armin still wants to improve the hardware a little bit.
Rob Mitchell
Shooting Arcade works great on the Cuttle Carts. It's too hard / imprecise to be much fun though. I just built another SMS adapter to use the SMS lightgun with the Atari 2600/ 7800/ 8-bit. So I just scored 11,630 playing Shooting Arcade in my first game. Easy! Back to the question which is the title of this thread: What happened to the lightgun homebrew game? Any more in development?
