andrew1810
Now I have a few games, a console and a PSU (Thanks to everyone on here ) I need somthing a bit better than my Spectrum joystick I think. So far I have seen: CX-78 CX-24 Gemini The driving paddle thingies on ebay The gemini is the cheapest and I am trying to do this all on the cheap (cheap console, common games etc.), is it much worse than the official ones? Thanks again Andrew

Lord Helmet
You will probably need both paddles and a joystick...
theretrodogg
8142488485 this one on ebay is a very nice example, it has auto fire too. I am bidding on one now but thats not boxed and no auto fire, I sold mine before but I should never have bothered as they get no better. Synthead
I like TAC-2 and Genesis controllers. I've heard great things about Wico Command Control sticks too.

andrew1810
I'll keep an eye on that one on ebay!!! Didn't realise I could use other ones, from these which I already have, which would be best? Sinclair standard joystick SNES controller Megadrive controller Or, I think I have an old 2 button PC one somewhere which may work Thanks Andrew
keilbaca
I personally like my controller I made when I was drunk... that really helped with games like space treat deluxe, moonsweeper, and 2 controller games (its a ps2 arcade joystick converted to 2 atari 2600 sticks.) Stingray
I personally like my controller I made when I was drunk... LOL! I have one I made while tipping a few brewskis myself. Mine is an old arcade joystick & button scavenged from my parts bin & mounted in a Radio Shack project box. Works better than any factory 2600 stick I've ever used. -S
Lord Helmet
Anyone here use Sega Master System controls? They're great with Track and Field and similar to the NES controls. I like Genesis pads better than a Master System pad. I found the Master System Pad kept trying to go diagonal when I wanted to go straight...could be just me though. I think back at the High Score Club at moonsweeper, I explain about my made controller...
keilbaca
and here's the links to them. The explanation of the stick: http://www.atariage.com/forums/download.php?id=27692 At the time, I had a crappy camera and here is the best I could do of the inside... http://www.atariage.com/forums/download.php?id=27693
kuifje76
I love "the arcade"joystick, by suzo. The one with two fireknobs is best.
