2600 Splash Screens

I've always loved the Centipede screen with it's undulating title. It always looked so "arcade" to me.

I agree, the Centipede screen is a classic. I remember being surprised when I first played the game and powered it up. "Wow, those are some pretty nice graphics for the 2600". The graphics are nice, the animation is a nice touch, and it's relevant to the game. Very well done. And it was done earlier than some of the more advanced games that would come out later, such as Super Sprint.

I remember thinking the E.T. splash screen was fairly nice (a good job of digitizing E.T. considering the 2600's capabilities), and it even had the theme song for the movie. :)

Solaris.

Yeah, the "splash screen" is just a still of the planet surface screen. But ALL of Solaris is awesome-looking, so there!

Certianly, I agree about Solaris, one of my all-time favorite video games, looking awesome. However, it does not have a "splash screen." I figured a violent stickler like you would realize the incorrect symantics involved in your error.
