http://www.atariage.com/development_page.h...evelopmentID=31For those of you who are disappointed at the dearth of card games for the 2600, we've got some good news for you! Brian Watson is developing a 2600 card game called Poker Squares. In Poker Squares the player places cards one at a time, in a 5x5 grid, with a goal of making the 10 best poker hands (5 horizontal, 5 vertical). Complete rules can be found here. Development is pretty far along and Brian expects to release the game in the first quarter of 2002. Additional information about Poker Squares can be found on our Titles in Development. You can discuss Poker Squares with other AtariAge visitors in our message boards here.

Well to me it looks just like Poker Solitaire on Casino (hours of my life wasted)but without the two diagonal rows.

However, not wanting to seem churlish, it does look very good graphically and those two diagonal rows just gave me a headache. I'd definitely give the rom a go when it's ready.

What would be good is a whole new range of card games. So if this goes okay then I hope you do some more!

Last I heard' date=' the game was complete or nearly complete, and may just be in need of manual and/or label. Has there been any news recently?[/quote']

Yes, the game is complete, just needs a label and manual. I am working with Brian Watson and Dave Exton on these. Your timing is amusing, as I just sent Brian an email yesterday about this project. :)
