S
Hi Everyone, Has anyone successfully installed one of these mods on a PAL 7800 ? I've tried a few of them now from the various websites regarding the NTSC mods, but none of them seem to be work properley. It is either too bright (rolling and fuzzy) or too dim. If I try to get the best S-Video picture I can for 7800, the 2600 is not good (and vice versa) when I adjust the trimpots. If you have a PAL 7800 and are happy with the mod, could you please let me know which board you used and which components were changed (if any) to make it work properley? Sorry I'm not a electronics guru :-( Thanks,
Bruce Tomlin
This mod worked fine for me: http://www.geocities.com/atari7800mod/7800...nstruction.html I've got a picture of the one I did in another thread, which you really should be replying in instead of starting a new thread: http://atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t...?t=42870#690426
Bruce Tomlin
And I just now noticed that you said PAL mod. Is there even an S-video equivalent for PAL, or would it be more like NTSC S-video at 50Hz?
Schmutzpuppe
I don't know any S-Video Pal mod but maybe you should try the Composite-Video mod, it gives you a much better picture than the normal output: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.p...light=pal+video It should be possible to add an s-video out using the above shematic as basis. S
Gunstar, Could you post some details of your mod? What are your components? I'd like to give it a go with a PAL system. Thanks,

8bitdomain
Here is a pic of the new 7800 mod board. It has been tested with NTSC. PAL testing will be completed when I receive my 7800 Pal motherboard. Cost will be approx $36. Production quantitys will be available the end of January through the web site www.8bitDomain.com Mike
