keilbaca
The object of the game is to keep your man, TRON, alive and scoring points. Keep him moving from side-to-side and floor-to-floor. Send him up the elevators. Jump him down a floor. Or slide him down the center INPUT/ OUTPUT beam. Wave after wave of Master Control Program attackers must be avoided - deadly Recognizers and Grid Bugs, even cannon-firing tanks. At the start, TRON has 4 lives, 1 on the screen, 3 in reserve. Game Information Left Difficulty B - Normal Gameplay Right Difficulty Not used Game Mode Game 1 Chosen By Cybergoth Post your scores right here in this thread, and I will add them to the list. Hints and Tips As always, you really should read the manual. What's that? You don't have the manual? Well, then you can always check out this typed copy of the manual hosted right here at AtariAge.What's that? You're too lazy to click that link? Well, here's some hints from the manual:FOLLOW the MCP attackers with your man instead of leading them. It's safer with RECOGNIZERS & GRID BUGS. What's more - TANKS CANNOT shoot backwards!DON'T TRY to jump over a RECOGNIZER or a TANK on the upper 3 floors! It's hard! (On the ground floor jumping over tanks & Grid Bugs is easier!)WATCH the screen edges! Don't get blind-sided. Attackers have a very nasty habit of entering a floor above or below just when your man arrives up the elevator!PRACTICE COORDINATING the JOYSTICK & RED JUMP BUTTON. Do this enough times until it's second nature.ALWAYS start your man on the GROUND FLOOR and work up gradually. You'll have more time to get your bearings, pick up the easier scoring bits as you move him up. (The Manual) -Patience is a definite virtue. Rushing from level to level will only result in you meeting an early demise. Since there is no time limit, don't be afraid to use the ability to drop to lower levels, especially if you're cornered.-Although the Recognizers, Grid Bugs, and tanks are tough, they can't turn around. If you see one on the floor above you, wait untill it goes past the elevator above you, and then go up. Just make sure to keep an eye on the other levels in case another enemy might be coming to that floor.(LarcenTyler) - Don't ever enter the top floor when its "empty". Only go there when you see what's moving there.- Also don't stay there a splitsecond longer than required. When the top bits are collected, it's most of the times even saver to drop down a floor and enter the beam there.- The basic strategy would be being always *behind* the tank- A well timed jump may eventually do the trick, but it's always better to change the floor. Notice that you move faster when not jumping, so even when the jump-escape works, you probably slowed down so much that the tank will hit you anyway...(Cybergoth) You can control your descension when sliding down the middle portal. Time it to land away from the hazards on the bottom level(speed up or slow down)The air scooter will kill you more often than help you(maibock) Good luck everyone! --Keilbaca

Lauren Tyler
I just thought I'd provide some pointers for gameplay: -Patience is a definite virtue. Rushing from level to level will only result in you meeting an early demise. Since there is no time limit, don't be afraid to use the ability to drop to lower levels, especially if you're cornered. -Although the Recognizers, Grid Bugs, and tanks are tough, they can't turn around. Cybergoth
Hi there! Here's two small tips from me: - Don't ever enter the top floor when its "empty". Only go there when you see what's moving there. - Also don't stay there a splitsecond longer than required. When the top bits are collected, it's most of the times even saver to drop down a floor and enter the beam there. Greetings, Manuel
