gamesnat
Has anyone out there ever had a cart that just would not work and somehow brought it back to life. Cause we are sitting on a cart that if it worked would be super sweet. Any suggestions would be great! -Gamesn'at
Cap5750
Other then cleaning (with an eraser head, Q-Tip, etc) or transfering to a non-broken shell...nope.

Voch
Try cleaning the cartridge contacts with a soft eraser. I've resurrected an Activitision title or two that way.

Any suggestions would be great!-Gamesn'at As was said, there's not much beyond cleaning with alcohol/eraser or as a last resort resoldering/reflowing the mask ROM inside. Beyond that point there's every possibility that the chip may just be fried, and there's no coming back from the grave -- unless you can make a new mask ROM. :-)
sku_u
Resolder the chips??? Solder Use some of that stuff to first desolder them, then resolder. That's usually what causes a game to fail: a loose solder joint.
Christophero Sly
Try it in a different console. I had a Barnstorming I thought was totally dead. It wouldn't work in my 2600 no matter what I tried. But one day I put it in my 7800 and it fired right up. Or vice versa. It wouldn't work in my 7800, but fired right up in my 2600. Anyway, try a different console.
