sandmountainslim
Played Robot Tank for the first time yesterday, picked it up at a thrift for two dollars and it is one awesome game! I think it is much better than Battlezone funwise anyway. Anyone else impressed with the graphics/gameplay of this gem? SMS
NintendoDieScreaming
Robot Tank was one of my first favorite Atari games.
NovaXpress
I think Battlezone kicks its ass. Robot Tank is just Star Master without the vertical movement. It's not realistic at all, the missiles disappear when they move out of your field of vision, the randomness of taking damage is just annoying. sandmountainslim
to me it is more fun than Battlezone, though I will concede it isnt the most realistic game around. SMS
Mountain King
I like both games, but they each have their pro's and cons. Robot Tank: Pros: Weather Condition, Battle Damage Cons: No real variety of enemies, does not feel like a true environment Battlezone: Pros: Real environment, Variety of enemies Cons: Instant death no damage, no obsticles, don't really like the idea of seeing the tank you're driving. SteveW
I preferred Robot Tank to Battlezone too. It was too easy to get killed in Battlezone. I always liked the changing weather conditions in Robot Tank, too. That was a nice touch, that adds a new level of difficulty and longevity to the game.
