fabulous23
some atari 2600 releases come in two different boxes, a red one or a blue blue one. what does this mean?
StanJr
I'm still not entirely sure I understand. Can you cite example? Late Atari games came in Red Boxes with Red Labels (Like Dark Chambers). earlier ones came in Silver Boxes, with Silver Labels, etc. Some Activision games are available with Blue Labels like Space Shuttle, instead of their standard cases. Is this what you are talking about?

Blue labels? Most of those are available as silver label & red label in PAL, What's a blue label? '86 Defender Pal was a blue label, thats the only one I know. Some early Atari had colored boxes, Pinball, Space Invaders, Defender, Cirus Atari, etc were blue boxes, but black & art label, not blue. Mindfield
actually space incaders for the 2600 came in a blue box or a silver box with a red band Original text and picture label releases (1977~1981) came in various colours. Then came the silver label boxes with red bands (or blue bands for 5200) between 1982 and 1984. 1986 and some of 1987 saw some re-releases, many in black & white boxes. Then came the red boxes (1987-1992).
