Purple lines, part deux

Now, for the new business. I found a second Atari 2600 recently, a "Darth Vader" unit, and I had planned to swap the board out of this one (since it's pretty beat up) and put it in my near-mint Sears Video Arcade.

 

But it has purple lines, just like the Sears!

 

This obviously can't be as rare as was once thought, and I'm curious what, if anything, could be done about it. The only thing these two consoles have in common is they were kept in storage in a garage/attic for years and were rather dirty when I came across them. Other than that, they came from totally different owners in different parts of the country.
