6 switch problem

Can anyone please help me by telling me what is wrong with the console I got off ebay last week. The picture is perfectly clear, but every time I use it, it makes an annoying buzzing sound, this is the only sound that comes from the tv when this consoles plugged in. I have tried different rf cables but it does'nt help. My other atari consoles work fine on the tv as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated...............

Could be a partially dead TIA chip. TIA is responsible for all audio and video. It's possible that the chip is partly dead, or that the chip's socket has broken solder traces (unlikely, but possible).

 

Could also be the RF port on the heavy sixer, since sound is pumped out through the RF. Broken solder traces are more likely there as there is wear and tear from the cord itself over time. Could even be the RF cable coming out of the heavy sixer itself. That part's easy to replace -- it's a regular RCA cable on both ends, plugs directly into an RCA jack on the mainboard. (You just have to make sure that the RCA cable you replace it with doesn't have a long center pin -- many do)
