sandmountainslim
Anyone know what the second level of Donkey Kong on the VCS is supposed to be? Maybe some strange place where you trap ducks by leaping over them? I have been curious bout this for years.
keilbaca
it was atari's attempt at making fireballs. if you played the arcade, the fireballs had faces on them, so they tried to do the same.
Voch
I always referred to the Atari 2600 Donkey Kong fireballs as two-way chickens.
Vic George 2K3
Coleco developed the game with help from one of the Kitchen brothers from Activision. Atari only acquired the rights to re-release this game (and some other games from Coleco) in the late 1980s.
Lord Helmet
Technically it is the rivet level from the arcade game. It would be a better port if the fireballs would move up and down the ladders, but oh well. You know, with all of the improved hacks/homebrews of Pac-Man that are out there, it would really be cool to see a homebrew 2600 Donkey Kong. I would love to see what kind of magic some of the talented programmers around here could do with it!
