Help! Dismantling Lynx II!

Blur2040

Recommended Posts

Ok, I picked up my Lynx II a day or two ago, and something felt disturbingly different. The plastic cover around the screen feels like it has lost its hold. One of the corners is easily pressed down, and the others make a clicking noise when I press on them.

My question is...How do I take the plastic screen magifier off the Lynx? I've read that it's easily replacable, but I don't know how!

hello,

this is rather easily accomplished by removing your battery cover and just

slipping a 2.4mm flathead screwdriver(jewelers type) in to the holes where

the outer left and right tabs of the battery cover normally go in.now, take

your screwdriver and gently press it down in each hole to release each of

the corners respectively.the opposite side of the lens will now require you

to take the screwdriver and put it under one of the corners (about half an

inch away from the side of it) and slide it towards the corner.it will/should

easily loosen and allow the whole lens to come loose for you.

to put one back in,just gently snap the thing back in one side at a time.one

note to mention here! be careful,as you can crack your old or new lens at

either side where the on/off or option buttons are sometimes.just take your time on it. this should go rather smoothly for you.good luck.hope this

hewlps you out.--the lynxer :)
