Great Hierophant
I have seen board shots of the six switch model that suggest that it wou8ld be the ideal board for portable. It seems to have one board, which is primarily used for the switches and ports, and another board which holds the core of the 2600. The core is covered by a metal shield but seems to be fashioned into a shape readily suitable for portables. Could anyone post a pic of the 2600 six switch board with the main RF shielding removed to see whether I am right?
A.J. Franzman
Visit http://www.benheck.com/ The 4-switch models are best, mainly due to circuit layout - you can cut off everything outside the RF shield (but you'll have to wire a few small things back on). If you don't mind hand-wiring the cart port, you can cut the board down to about 4 inches square. If you tried that with a 6-switch, there are a lot more little bits you'd have to reconnect to get it to work again.
