The most worse hoax of the history?

The game in general yes, the player animation no.

.... that only can be done in hires. So, much games in hires existed on the A8, it wasn't that essential, to have a protagonist in hires.

When you started mocking up "how to do it" screens you sacrificed the low-res backgrounds in order to get that hi-res player sprite, even if you don't consciously believe it to be important your subconscious seems to disagree with you. The rest of us would've just got the low-res version of the blokey from the CPC version of IM2 instead. =-)

And to my mind, going to hi-res doesn't do the game any justice... =-)

... Because the game is a classic, as it is.

Not really for me, more because, comparatively speaking, i've never liked hi-res graphics for the lack of colour depth - that's why i chose the C64, VIC and A8 over the Spectrum back in the day.

The mockup screen was only to make more clear, that even on the A8 a full colored game would be possible in 320x200 (for the guys that prefered the hires sprite ;) )... and that a 160x200 version never was an "impossible" problem ...
