sandmountainslim
is most like the coin op? I cant recall ever having played the arcade version so I wasnt sure if it gave bonus lives every 1000 or 2000 points or if it was like variation 9 with no bonus lives given. Thanks for any info
sku_u
Give the Berzerk Voice Enhanced version a whirl. It's located in the hacks section.
Lord Helmet
Yea, play Berzerk VE. I like it better than the 5200 version (the speach sounds better IMHO). In the arcade version you get an extra man at 5,000 and 10,000 points, so I guess variation 6 is closest, where you get a new life every 2000. I got the scoring information here: http://tips.retrogames.com/gamepage/berzerk.html

I know I can play it in an emu, but I wanna hear it on my 7800.

Gregory DG
There was a cart release. I guess it's sold out now?
Lord Helmet
Berzerk VE is a hack. AA doesn't sell hacks on cart anymore...search th boards for Infogrames and hacks if you want to get deeper into it.
Nukey Shay
AA doesn't produce hacks. You can still get one burned if you aren't expecting a box or label. Anything in the hacks section can be on-offed AFAIK (as long as it doesn't interfere with some other production...like Pacrat's hacks). Tickled_Pink
Any variation where the robots actually shoot diagonally? Great game though the 2600 version is (first game I had with my 2600 in 1982, along with Combat) it hasn't been played for years - way too easy for me now. Gameplay wise, diagonal shooting is the only thing missing from the 2600 version.
