Tanukitsune
I won 33 games! - 32 in 1 - Asterix - Berzerk - Bowling - Breakout - Casino - Centipede - Circus Atari - Combat - Cosmic Ark - Defender II - Defender - Dig Dug - Dodge Em - Donkey Kong - Gorf - Mario Bros - Motorodeo - Obelix - Outlaw - Q*BERT - Raiders Lost Ark - Reactor - Skate Boarding - Sky Skipper - Sorcerers Apprentice Disney - Space War - Super Breakout - Super Cobra - Swordquest Earthworld - Vanguard - Venture - Video Pinball Some are boxed even! Motorodeo (PAL) has a rarity value of 8 according to this site! Hmm, how can I post a link of the bids I won? Can I show them to other users? Or do I post all the links individually? I'm still new to this forum and to the Atari, I've heard NTSC games work on PAL consoles? Is this true? Do they work normally?
Spirantho
Nice score - depending on how much you paid! They're all pretty common, with the possible exception of Obelix and Motorodeo which are currently reckoned to be 6 and 5 rarity respectively. Don't pay too much attention to the rarity guide on AA for PAL carts - they're way off base on some of them (Motorodeo is never an 8!), we're building a PAL rarity list at: http://www.retroreview.com/paldatabase/Index.php To post the links you can just show your history - do a search using eBay then copy and paste the URL. Works for me. NTSC games do not work exactly on PAL consoles. The colours will be wrong, and also the framerate will be 60Hz so your TV will have to cope with 60Hz PAL to work (many do, though). If you want to play NTSC games you need a modded NTSC Atari (let me know if you need one!) Incidentally, sorry about outbidding you on that ©1991 Missile Command cart but I've not seen that label style before, so I had to have it. If you're just looking for a Missile Command game let me know - I probably have 5 spare (though I've not looked of late)!

I payed over 20€ for Motorodeo just because I thought it was rare! First I thought it had rarity 10, then 8, now 6! Oh well... I think everybody bid so high on it because they thought it was uber rare as well, none of the other games went for that much... Since I haven't voted or have been voted on, they won't appear on my list, but... http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293007 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293266 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293454 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293539 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293623 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293702 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293759 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293849 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186293939 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294084 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294177 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294240 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294284 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294355 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294422 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294628 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294721 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294907 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186294978 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295056 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295305 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295382 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295469 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295534 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295657 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295755 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186295907 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186296139 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186296233 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186296326 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186296481 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186296595 http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5186296682 It's a shame I can't play NTSC properly, but what if I use my TV tuner? I think it can emulate NYSV and PAL? I heard they made a homebrew Homestar game which is probably NTSC... I just wanted Missile Command, I'm still new so first I'll get the games, and then maybe the rarer/diiferent edition of that game...

mrppv666
I love just starting to get into the 2600 and scoring lots. Ebay has been great since I really have no games and just got 60 for about $100. I also got a Vader system and 20 games for like $23 as well with all the hookups and 2 controllers! As of right now I only have 3 duplicates out of 100 games so I'm loving it! I love Ebay! Here were my recent scores: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8184589008 This was pretty decent at like $2.30 a cart for mostly 3's and 4's http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8181837219 And this I got for $10 which was like $.40 a cart and I would have paid that much just for Steeplechase

You'll probably be able to get a picture, yes, but it'll be the wrong colours and may well be in black and white if your telly can't do 60Hz PAL. If you use a non-modded NTSC Atari you'll probably get the right colours but no sound.... it's been explained a lot in previous threads so you should find all you need there. Motorodeo isn't rare, but people think it is, which is why it goes so high. In fact it crops up loads on eBay in France, particularly. It's just an expensive title - you weren't ripped off. I'd really like to play some of the NTSC only games, like the homebrews for sale here...
Spirantho
My PC TV Tuner can tune in NTSC channels, or at least it claims it can, can I work this to my advantage? Unfortunately that doesn't help... the problem is that the console dictates the colour system and the colour palette, and the cart contains the frequency. So, putting an NTSC card in a PAL system means the signal is 60Hz (from the NTSC-spec cart) but the colour format is PAL (from the PAL TIA in the Atari). Hence you end up with 60Hz PAL, which luckily many TVs support. Unfortunately, however, the palette is dictated entirely by the Atari you have. If you have an NTSC game it expects an NTSC colour palette, but a PAL Atari has a PAL colour palette, which is different. In other words, your game asks for colour blue from what it thinks is an NTSC console, but gets colour green or something because it's really a PAL console. The actual TV standards are irrelevant, its simply that different standard consoles have different colour palettes, which is why you need an NTSC Atari unless you can put up with squiffy colours!
