Rom Hunter
I have some unknown PAL Activision ROMS, where the Activision name and copyright date are removed from the startup screen. The only thing that's left of the Activision logo is the rainbow: Diagonally cut rainbows: Rainbows with a little "corner": Here's my question: Are these typical Dactar titles or were there other companies who removed the Activision logo and copyright date exactly like this? I know it's a very specific question, but I would really like to know this. Thanks! Edited May 10, 2005 by Rom Hunter
sku_u
Some of those unknown taiwan carts are like that. I also have a few TV Games pirate systems with built in games that have the same thing. Those came from all over the world, but were sold in volume in Brazil and Mexico.
Rom Hunter
Thanks for the info, sku_u. I already guessed it was too easy to think that they came from one and the same company.
keilbaca
I just recieved my microdigital (Microsoft) games from home, and they did that. Did it to Enduro, River Raid, and Tennis (I also got Pac-Man and Seaquest but none have that logo).
Rom Hunter
Interesting. Well, I don't count Pac-Man, River Raid, Seaquest and Tennis, because they didn't have a rainbow logo in the first place. Does your Microsoft Enduro logo look like the one above or does it have the rainbow with the little "corner" in it? keilbaca
It looked exactly like the one above
Rom Hunter
Thanks, Keilbaca. This could be a start in tracking down the companies who did these hacks.
