shadow460
I think you've found the best place to get 7800 games--right here from other collectors. I keep my eye out around town for anything 7800. If I come across something, I'll post it. Edited September 28, 2005 by shadow460

SOOO much better than the 8b or 26k versions. A very pleasant surprise. Dig Dug was too easy! I thought that the arcade was harder, IIRC???? Dark Chambers is fun in a history lesson sort of way. Gauntlet version .0001 DK & DK jr were just as much fun as they always were, I still like the C64 (SID) sound on them better, but TIA handles it ok. I REALLY miss DK 3D, the gas -n- guzzle closed down a few years ago had it. I liked it! PPII was okay at best, but the Vectrex version, with analog stearing spoiled me!! All in all I got a pretty good haul. I'd love a loose Ikari Warriors!! Anyone wanna trade for a GB multi-cart?????
shadow460
Tried Tank Command yet? Currently I'm playing some on Crossbow. I'm going to try emulating Tank Command and see what happens...til I can get hold of a loose copy of it.

I'm more of IKARI warriors or Commando player. I collect SNK games for my NEO*GEO and got started by collecting ALL SNK tranlations. I lucked into IKARI for both 2600 & 7800 back before I realized they were HTF! Anyone ready to port METAL SLUG to the 7800??? It could handle it. In case you don't know METAL SLUG is like Contra done right!
shadow460
Yeah, it's really a bummer when you go looking for a game you used to enjoy and then realize it's just not very common. There's a ton of 2600 games like that for me...Sword of Saros (R8), Ram It (R7), Demolition Herby (R7), and who knows how many others. I was under the impression that most rare/HTF games were garbage shovelware anyway. Damn Atari for not dist. the few good later games. :!:

I'm a big Neo-Geo MVS fan, have a 2 slot big red in the house. Metal Slug rocks, those are the best 2d shooters out there IMO.
DracIsBack
Dark Chambers is fun in a history lesson sort of way. Gauntlet version .0001 Very true. A lot of folks think DARK CHAMBERS is a GAUNTLET RIP-OFF, when it's actually the reverse. DARK CHAMBERS is "Dandy" rebranded for the 7800, which GAUNTLET ripped off. I frequented the forums there a while back and I got flamed for actually PLAYING my english Metal Slug (1) It's a GAME!! I bought it to play it because I like MS! I was in a game shop here in houston , and they had a few J copies and one in English. So I bought it. It shows the signs of use that is perfectly normal for a played game!! I love my AES, but those guys are just WAY to anal!!! I do occasionaly buy a game from www.neostore.com BTW!!!
