8-bit game question

I'm looking for some guidance on how to use an emulator that will allow me use the following Atari 8-bit games (designed by a distant relative of mine). Is there a good FAQ on this? The games are:

Can I run these on a PC, running Windows XP.

Of course, yo can run it within your XP

 

You need this emulator: ATARI 800Win Plus 4.0

 

You need the ATARI ROM-files: link on the site above

 

You need the dumps of the games.

 

And you need a joystick connected to your PC to have most reality. The pc-keyboard can be used as very bad replacement.

You can buy a Stelladaptor from AtariAge that plugs one end into a USB port and the other has a connection for an original Atari Joystick

since i got my USB competition pro... i realise how a big difference a joystick is compared to keyboard... last weekend we played with a real competition and c64 katakis...and we failed after 10 minutes...our fingers muscles can not hold on the stress anymore... my fingers are joypad esp. ps2 pads lovers since 1996...........

I use XFORMER 2000 for Windows and I have ZERO pproblems and I download games form the vjetnam.hopto.org website
