Moinjung
Hi, is it possible to convert Summer Games, Winter Games and Robotron 2084 from NTSC to PAL ? I am not a programmer, only a gamer. These games do not work on PAL Atari7800 and sadly were not released in PAL. All others work with some flickering, but they are playable. I have a CC2. By the way if some german viewers of this topic are interested in getting a POKEY for their CC2, send me a message. I got 10 Pokeys and I need only 1 ! They are all tested. Thank you Lars
The_Laird
Hi I have Winter Games and Summer Games in NTSC and they both work on my Pal 7800, although they flicker quite a bit. I'd love a Robotron that works in Pal, can't understand why Atari didn't release it????
Tom
It's fairly easy to write a program for the Atari 7800 that supports PAL *and* NTSC (autodetecting the console type). Converting existing games might be more difficult. Basically to convert an NTSC game to PAL you'd have to insert additional empty lines into the display list. If there's not enough RAM left for that or you have to move stuff around in RAM to make space, then things will get really amusing
Cybergoth
Hi there! Uihjah! So Summer and Winter Games never saw an official German release? Definitely explains why my eBay search never found me anything Greetings, Manuel
+Mitch
Yes, there are several NTSC only 7800 releases, see also here. Mitch
